Press release: YJB responds to HMI Probation report on homeless 16 and 17-year-olds who offend

Colin Allars, YJB Chief Executive, said:

It is of great concern that the support and quality of accommodation provided to some of the most vulnerable 16 and 17-year-olds varies according to where they live.

I am pleased that the excellent contribution many YOTs make to the process of providing homeless young people with suitable accommodation is recognised in this report, but it is important that other agencies responsible for these services listen to their advice.
