He will succeed Mr Rob Fenn, who will be transferring to another Diplomatic Service appointment. Mr Campbell will take up his appointment during July 2013.<\/p>\n

Mr Campbell joined the FCO in 1981 and has served overseas in Europe, the Caribbean and Asia Pacific, including Singapore and the Philippines.<\/p>\n

On his appointment as British High Commissioner to Brunei, Mr Campbell has said:<\/p>\n

I am delighted to be returning to South East Asia. I am honoured to have been appointed High Commissioner to Brunei. The UK has a longstanding relationship with Brunei. I look forward to strengthening further the very close links which exist between our two countries.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
