You will need to have an outstanding record of achievement and personal credibility in one of the following fields: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>clinical and research virology, particularly respiratory viruses <\/li>\n<li>epidemiology and\/or public health<\/li>\n<li>veterinary microbiology\/parasitology<\/li>\n<li>infectious disease specialist <\/li>\n<li>biomedical scientist with practical day-to-day experience of working at <abbr title=\"Advisory Committee on Dangerous Pathogens\">ACDP<\/abbr> category levels 3 and 4<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Department of Health\u2019s Senior Responsible Officer determines the length of appointments, which will be for up to 3 years.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"time-and-pay\">Time and pay<\/h3>\n<p>Members will be expected to devote 3 full days a year to attend and participate at main <abbr title=\"Advisory Committee on Dangerous Pathogens\">ACDP<\/abbr> meetings.
