{"id":13844,"date":"2013-06-03T15:10:00","date_gmt":"2013-06-03T15:10:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=cf5d4285b36d4104c3899b1a9906fc41"},"modified":"2013-06-03T15:10:00","modified_gmt":"2013-06-03T15:10:00","slug":"press-release-press-briefing-morning-3-june-2013","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=13844","title":{"rendered":"Press release: Press briefing: morning 3 June 2013"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<h2 id=\"sarkozy\">Sarkozy<\/h2>\n<p>Asked about the PM\u2019s meeting with former French president Sarkozy, the <abbr title=\"Prime Minister's Spokesperson\">PMS<\/abbr> said it was a private meeting in Downing Street and reflected the good nature of the working relationship they had when he was in office.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"lobbyists\">Lobbyists<\/h2>\n<p>Asked about the government\u2019s work on introducing a statutory register of lobbyists, the <abbr title=\"Prime Minister's Spokesperson\">PMS<\/abbr> said that the government had made a commitment in the <a href=\"\/government\/publications\/the-coalition-documentation\" title=\"Coalition Agreement\">Coalition Agreement<\/a>, which remained. A green paper had been published and received a number of responses. Cross government work was ongoing and proposals would be set out in the near future. On the issue of power of recall, the government had published a white paper and draft bill. Responses had not returned a clear consensus and work was also on going. Asked about Lynton Crosby\u2019s role with relation to the government, the <abbr title=\"Prime Minister's Spokesperson\">PMS<\/abbr> said that he was an employee of the Conservative Party.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"extremism-task-force\">Extremism task force<\/h2>\n<p>Asked about the PM\u2019s task force on tackling extremism and radicalisation, the <abbr title=\"Prime Minister's Spokesperson\">PMS<\/abbr> said that the point of the task force was to look at what further measures could be taken to disrupt extremist activity and tackle radicalisation.
