{"id":14497,"date":"2013-06-04T14:52:48","date_gmt":"2013-06-04T14:52:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=dfb8891b0160446fb63edf8fd9295b52"},"modified":"2013-06-04T14:52:48","modified_gmt":"2013-06-04T14:52:48","slug":"news-story-new-local-service-for-motorcycle-test-candidates-in-8-areas","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=14497","title":{"rendered":"News story: New local service for motorcycle test candidates in 8 areas"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p>The Driving Standards Agency (<abbr title=\"Driving Standards Agency\">DSA<\/abbr>) will be offering module 2 motorcycle tests from another 8 driving test centres in areas where there isn\u2019t already a local service:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bridgend<\/li>\n<li>Chesterfield<\/li>\n<li>Hamilton<\/li>\n<li>Letchworth<\/li>\n<li>Rhyl <\/li>\n<li>Southampton Maybush<\/li>\n<li>Southport<\/li>\n<li>Stranraer<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These driving test centres were chosen after looking at the feedback from trainers, volumes of tests, the distance candidates have to travel and examiner resource.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"improving-access-to-the-motorcycle-test\">Improving access to the motorcycle test<\/h2>\n<p>The move is part of a wider initiative to improve access to the motorcycle test. <abbr title=\"Driving Standards Agency\">DSA<\/abbr> is also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/organisations\/driving-standards-agency\/about\/recruitment\">recruiting more bike examiners<\/a> and targeting existing resource at areas of high demand.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"best-possible-service\">Best possible service<\/h2>\n<p><abbr title=\"Driving Standards Agency\">DSA<\/abbr> Chief Executive, Rosemary Thew, said: <\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>We want to provide the best possible service for all our candidates, and this includes making sure that people can take their test at a convenient location. This will also reduce the distance that candidates have to travel, making it cheaper.<\/p>\n<p class=\"last-child\">We are always looking at how we can improve the service we offer and we will continue to look at opening more sites where demand and examiner resource allow.
