View arrival photos on <a rel=\"external\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/g8uk\">Flickr<\/a> and video on <a rel=\"external\" href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/playlist?list=PLqHKtAbFyKz6UJ7lOXiyC0noN4KwQ14ya\">YouTube<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>The EU and US agreed to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/news\/g8-summit-negotiations-for-historic-eu-us-trade-deal-announced\">launch negotiations on a trade deal<\/a> worth \u00a310 billion to the UK. <a rel=\"external\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/g8uk\/9047642123\/\">View infographic on EU-US trade agreement<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Leaders attended bilaterals in the afternoon. A global economy working session was held in the evening and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/news\/g8-summit-communique-on-global-economy-working-session\">a communiqu\u00e9 was issued<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Tuesday (18 June) began with working sessions, including one on <a rel=\"external\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/g8uk\/9075252444\/\">counter-terrorism<\/a>, followed by a family photo. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/organisations\/prime-ministers-office-10-downing-street\/series\/g8-communique-and-documents\">Communiqu\u00e9s, action plans<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/publications\/g8-lough-erne-declaration\">Lough Erne declaration<\/a> were issued. <\/p>\n<p>At the end of the summit, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/publications\/2013-lough-erne-g8-leaders-communique\">2013 Lough Erne G8 leaders\u2019 communiqu\u00e9<\/a> was issued, setting out the commitments made by the G8 leaders.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"what-is-the-g8\">What is the G8?<\/h2>\n<p>The G8 is a forum that brings together 8 global leaders to address international issues and tackle the most pressing global challenges. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/news\/what-is-the-g8\">Find out more about the G8.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Presidency of the G8 rotates each calendar year.
