{"id":16920,"date":"2013-06-17T16:35:31","date_gmt":"2013-06-17T16:35:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=15d1a3cfeacd88d1a75e2cd0f5392439"},"modified":"2013-06-17T16:35:31","modified_gmt":"2013-06-17T16:35:31","slug":"news-story-deputy-prime-minister-meets-mexican-president","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=16920","title":{"rendered":"News story: Deputy Prime Minister meets Mexican President"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p>As part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/topical-events\/g8-2013\">UK\u2019s presidency of the G8<\/a>, they discussed Syria, Mexico\u2019s approach to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/publications\/g8-factsheet-tax\/g8-factsheet-tax\">tax<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/publications\/g8-factsheet-trade\/g8-factsheet-trade\">trade<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/publications\/g8-factsheet-transparency\/g8-factsheet-transparency\">transparency<\/a> agenda, and increasing bilateral trade between the UK and Mexico.<\/p>\n<p>The Deputy Prime Minister said:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"last-child\">As the G8 summit gets underway in Lough Erne, it was a pleasure to meet with President Pe\u00f1a Nieto again. When I visited Mexico in 2011, I spoke of the need for the UK and Mexico to strengthen our ties. Today I was pleased to discuss increased bilateral co-operation between the UK and Mexico, particularly on trade. By 2015, our aim is to double trade with Mexico to \u00a34.2 billion.
