He will succeed Mr Graham Styles, who will be transferring to another Diplomatic Service appointment. Mr Brownbill will take up his appointment during April 2014.<\/p>\n

Mr Brownbill joined the FCO in 1979 and has previously served as Consul-General in Ho Chi Minh City and Her Majesty\u2019s Ambassador in Managua. He is currently working in the Estates and Security Directorate in the FCO in London.<\/p>\n

On his appointment as Her Majesty\u2019s Ambassador to the Republic of Guinea, Mr Brownbill has said: <\/p>\n

I\u2019m very much looking forward to returning to West Africa and the privilege of being Ambassador to Guinea. It\u2019s an exciting time for Guinea and I look forward to being able to contribute to achieving our shared political and commercial objectives, particularly by encouraging further British investment in Guinea.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n\n\n
