{"id":44488,"date":"2014-07-02T12:31:36","date_gmt":"2014-07-02T12:31:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=59a5882cc3d1830595bfabc4652901c3"},"modified":"2014-07-02T12:31:36","modified_gmt":"2014-07-02T12:31:36","slug":"news-story-liverpool-womens-nhs-foundation-trust-monitor-launches-investigation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=44488","title":{"rendered":"News story: Liverpool Women\u2019s NHS Foundation Trust: Monitor launches investigation"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p>The warning notices refer to concerns about staffing levels and the operation of systems designed to assess and monitor the quality of services. <\/p>\n<p>Monitor is concerned that the issues raised by the Care Quality Commission (<abbr title=\"Care Quality Commission\">CQC<\/abbr>) might be indicative of wider problems with how the trust is run.<\/p>\n<p>Monitor will also examine the trust\u2019s financial position following concerns raised by the trust as part of the forward planning process.  <\/p>\n<p>Liverpool Women\u2019s NHS Foundation Trust specialises in issues affecting women and children, such as maternity, neonatal care, gynaecology and genetics.<\/p>\n<p>No decision has been taken about whether further regulatory action is required and an announcement about the outcome of the investigation will be made in due course. <\/p>\n<p>Frances Shattock, Regional Director at Monitor said:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>The Care Quality Commission has sufficient concern with this trust that it issued 2 warning notices.
