{"id":45430,"date":"2014-07-22T12:58:53","date_gmt":"2014-07-22T12:58:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=2ed1f1f09d03b3f3241aeafc67895384"},"modified":"2014-07-22T12:58:53","modified_gmt":"2014-07-22T12:58:53","slug":"statement-to-parliament-triennial-review-home-office-non-departmental-public-bodies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=45430","title":{"rendered":"Statement to Parliament: Triennial Review: Home Office non-departmental public bodies"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<h4 id=\"secretary-of-state-for-the-home-department-theresa-may\">Secretary of State for the Home Department (Theresa May):<\/h4>\n<p>I am today announcing the start of the Triennial Review of the Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs, the National DNA Database Ethics Group and the Animals in Science Committee.<\/p>\n<p>Triennial reviews are part of the government\u2019s commitment to ensuring that non-departmental public bodies continue to have regular independent challenge. The review will examine whether there is a continuing need for the functions and form of the <abbr title=\"Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs\">ACMD<\/abbr>, NDNAEG and <abbr title=\"Animals in Science Committee\">ASC<\/abbr> and whether they should continue to exist at arm\u2019s length from government.
