Forming an integral part of the agency, the <abbr title=\"National Measurement Office\">NMO<\/abbr> enforcement authority was responsible for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/collections\/national-measurement-office-enforcement-authority\">six areas of legislation<\/a> during the financial year April 2013 to March 2014.<\/p>\n<p>This legislation is enforced on behalf of four government departments, namely:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><abbr title=\"Department for Business, Innovation and Skills\">BIS<\/abbr><\/li>\n<li>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/organisations\/department-of-energy-climate-change\">Department of Energy and Climate Change<\/a> (<abbr title=\"Department of Energy and Climate Change\">DECC<\/abbr>)<\/li>\n<li>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/organisations\/department-for-environment-food-rural-affairs\">Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs<\/a> (<abbr title=\"Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs\">DEFRA<\/abbr>)<\/li>\n<li>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/organisations\/department-for-transport\">Department for Transport<\/a> (<abbr title=\"Department for Transport\">DfT<\/abbr>)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>An end of year report has now been published offering an overview of the authority\u2019s work during this period.
