{"id":46399,"date":"2014-08-14T11:08:01","date_gmt":"2014-08-14T11:08:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=7c569718478f26f0e99ff9c62edae55d"},"modified":"2014-08-14T11:08:01","modified_gmt":"2014-08-14T11:08:01","slug":"news-story-civil-news-local-travel-claims-from-1-september-2014","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=46399","title":{"rendered":"News story: Civil news: local travel claims from 1 September 2014"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p>A change of approach to the assessment of \u2018local travel\u2019 claims takes effect on 1 September 2014.<\/p>\n<p>This means that for funding granted on or after 1 September 2014 local travel expenses will generally not be payable.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Local travel\u2019 is considered to be travel within a 10 mile radius of the court.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"claim-assessments\">Claim assessments<\/h3>\n<p>Any claims for travel expenses such as mileage, taxi fares and train fares will be assessed.<\/p>\n<p>There are no changes to payment for time spent travelling and this can be claimed within the rules of the fee schemes.
