There are 2 CPD points for each session.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"training-event-topics\">Training event topics<\/h3>\n<p>Various topics will be covered:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Joint enterprise: the liability of parasitic accessory<\/li>\n<li>Historic sex cases: sentencing and trial strategy<\/li>\n<li>Pre-recorded cross-examination of vulnerable witnesses: procedure and learning points arising from the pilots <\/li>\n<li>Police stations: recent updates and case law on confessions, hearsay, privilege and identification<\/li>\n<li>Section 41: a practical approach<\/li>\n<li>Vulnerable defendants: the identification of vulnerabilities, intermediaries and the law<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 id=\"booking-your-place\">Booking your place<\/h3>\n<p>To attend one or more of these events, please click on the link below to book a place. We\u2019ll send you an email confirmation which will include further details about the event.  <\/p>\n<p>If we\u2019re over-subscribed for any events, we\u2019ll also confirm this at the earliest opportunity.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"about-us\">About us<\/h3>\n<p>The PDS was recently expanded to include the PDS Advocacy Unit. The Advocacy Unit specialises in serious and complex Crown Court cases and offers criminal advocacy services in a broad range of cases.<\/p>\n<p>Our experienced advocates have had significant successes in the Higher Courts over many years and operate independently and impartially in their delivery of criminal advocacy services. <\/p>\n<p>Our clients come first \u2013 we\u2019ll always match a case with the most suitable advocate \u2013 and we provide continuity of service to develop strong relationships with all parties during a case.<\/p>\n<p>Our team operates nationally, taking on cases throughout England and Wales.
