{"id":48001,"date":"2014-09-25T15:57:56","date_gmt":"2014-09-25T15:57:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=4744f9a5ccc1c333990a147acd11ced8"},"modified":"2014-09-25T15:57:56","modified_gmt":"2014-09-25T15:57:56","slug":"news-story-issp-primary-curriculum-project","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=48001","title":{"rendered":"News story: ISSP primary curriculum project"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p>We are seeking to support a small number of new <abbr title=\"independent\/state school partnerships\">ISSPs<\/abbr> which have, at their core, a shared commitment to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>raise the standards of teaching and learning<\/li>\n<li>have a positive and measurable impact on the education of all the children in their schools<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We\u2019re inviting applications from schools from all sectors to establish new <abbr title=\"independent\/state school partnerships\">ISSPs<\/abbr> which strengthen the teaching of subjects in key stages 1 and 2. We welcome proposals from schools which value cross-sector links as an effective way of achieving this. A limited amount of funding will be awarded to projects which are innovative and have a commitment to long-term self-sufficiency.<\/p>\n<p>Lord Nash, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Schools, says this new government investment underlines its commitment to increasing opportunities for children from all backgrounds:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"last-child\"><abbr title=\"independent\/state school partnerships\">ISSPs<\/abbr> have been a hugely successful &#8211; and durable &#8211; initiative which have had a real impact on the quality of learning in partner schools.
