We are encouraging those who work in sexual health, reproductive health and HIV (<abbr title=\"Sexual health, reproductive health and HIV\">SHRHH<\/abbr>) to nominate colleagues demonstrating best practice. <\/p>\n<p>Best Practice in Whole System Commissioning will join the 9 other prestigious awards which celebrate best practice in <abbr title=\"Sexual health, reproductive health and HIV\">SHRHH<\/abbr> at the annual event. <\/p>\n<p><abbr title=\"Public Health England\">PHE<\/abbr> identified system leadership as one of its key objectives for <abbr title=\"Sexual health, reproductive health and HIV\">SHRHH<\/abbr> and has developed a guide to help commissioners ensure that service users experience integrated, responsive services that deliver the best outcomes. <abbr title=\"Public Health England\">PHE<\/abbr> wants to recognise the excellent work commissioners are undertaking in a highly complex system. Your nomination can be for anybody who works directly or indirectly on commissioning.<\/p>\n<p>The panel is looking for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>evidence of undertaking and developing a whole systems approach to commissioning<\/li>\n<li>examples where teams and organisations have maximised opportunities to jointly commission across different parts of the <abbr title=\"Sexual health, reproductive health and HIV\">SHRHH<\/abbr> system<\/li>\n<li>maximised opportunities to tackle the wider determinates of health<\/li>\n<li>evidence of putting people at the centre of commissioning to improve patient journeys and experience<\/li>\n<li>inspirational people and teams who work to foster great working relationships across the sector within commissioning<\/li>\n<li>evidence of drawing on the views of clinicians and service users to inform commissioning decisions<\/li>\n<li>individuals and teams deserving of recognition for their hard work and dedication to <abbr title=\"Sexual health, reproductive health and HIV\">SHRHH<\/abbr> commissioning<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For <abbr title=\"Public Health England\">PHE<\/abbr>\u2019s guide to whole systems commissioning: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/publications\/commissioning-sexual-health-reproductive-health-and-hiv-services\">Making it Work<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Make your nomination for the <abbr title=\"Public Health England\">PHE<\/abbr> award, Best Practice in Whole System Commissioning <a rel=\"external\" href=\"http:\/\/www.brook.org.uk\/uk-sexual-health-awards\/single\/nominate-now\">UK Sexual Health Awards 2015<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p><abbr title=\"Public Health England\">PHE<\/abbr> exists to protect and improve the nation\u2019s health and wellbeing and reduce health inequalities.
