UK Export Finance (UKEF<\/abbr>), the UK\u2019s export credit agency, today welcomed the announcement that the British Chambers of Commerce (BCC<\/abbr>) is to form an International Advisory Council. The Council will bring together a group of senior business leaders to advise the BCC<\/abbr> on international trade, with a focus on the export potential available to UK businesses.<\/p>\n

The BCC<\/abbr> announcement came ahead of its International Trade Conference, Global Network, Global Opportunities<\/a>, on Thursday 9 October, sponsored by UK Export Finance, Barclays, Cisco, DHL Express, EY, Heathrow Airport and Volvo, who will share their experience of exports and international markets.<\/p>\n

David Godfrey, Chief Executive of UKEF<\/abbr> and a guest speaker at the International Trade Conference, said:<\/p>\n

We welcome the BCC<\/abbr>\u2019s newly formed International Advisory Council. Sharing the knowledge and experience of businesses that have already succeeded in international markets is a positive step that will strengthen the export agenda and we hope it will inform and inspire other UK exporters.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
