{"id":48780,"date":"2014-10-15T15:28:00","date_gmt":"2014-10-15T15:28:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=683c657c157b4edc0b39b6f0422dbee4"},"modified":"2014-11-18T12:31:41","modified_gmt":"2014-11-18T12:31:41","slug":"news-story-weights-and-measures-food-amendment-regulations-2014-consultation-due-to-close-shortly","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=48780","title":{"rendered":"News story: Weights and Measures (Food) (Amendment) Regulations 2014 government response now published"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Updated:<\/em> The government response to the consultation on the draft Weights and Measures (Food) (Amendment) Regulations 2014 and Guidance has now been published.<\/p>\n<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<div class=\"call-to-action\">\n<p>The government response for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/consultations\/weights-and-measures-food-amendment-regulations-2014\">this consultation<\/a> has now been published.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>The National Measurement Office (<abbr title=\"National Measurement Office\">NMO<\/abbr>) sought views on the draft Weights and Measures (Food) (Amendment) Regulations 2014, which will amend national pre-packed food quantity labelling legislation in accordance with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/food-information-to-consumers\">EU Regulation on food information to consumers<\/a> (1169\/2011) (<abbr title=\"food information to consumers\">FIC<\/abbr>). <\/p>\n<p>The draft Statutory Instrument will remove overlapping or conflicting national requirements which are directly applicable under <abbr title=\"food information to consumers\">FIC<\/abbr> which take effect on 13 December 2014. <\/p>\n<p>A total of 10 responses were received.
