{"id":49136,"date":"2014-10-23T11:05:05","date_gmt":"2014-10-23T11:05:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=dfeace7160553bfc51d459d283905f02"},"modified":"2014-10-23T11:05:05","modified_gmt":"2014-10-23T11:05:05","slug":"news-story-civil-news-tips-to-ensure-your-application-is-processed-quickly","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=49136","title":{"rendered":"News story: Civil news: tips to ensure your application is processed quickly"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p>We have recently reviewed our application process and identified a number of tips to help you avoid problems.<\/p>\n<p>If you follow these suggestions we should be able to reduce the number of civil application rejects. <\/p>\n<p>These were running at 10% in the period June to August 2014 with 2,448 being returned out of a total of 24,192.<\/p>\n<p>There were particular issues  with forms being rejected because they had not been:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>signed or dated \u2013 31% or 764 of the total<\/li>\n<li>fully completed \u2013 29% or 724 of the total<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 id=\"six-top-tips\">Six top tips<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>use the checklist built in to CIVMEANS1 and 2 forms to check they have been completed correctly with all relevant evidence enclosed<\/li>\n<li>ensure you have submitted the correct bank statements in support of your client\u2019s application<\/li>\n<li>attach a statement of case to the CIVAPP1\/3 &#8211; in 5% of cases a statement was not enclosed <\/li>\n<li>use the supporting guidance (see attached link) to ensure forms CIVAPP1\/3 are complete<\/li>\n<li>where you need to submit evidence in relation to the domestic violence gateway or evidence of child abuse, refer to the Legal Aid, Sentencing and Punishment of Offenders Act 2012 evidence requirements for private law family matters \u2013 see link below.
