{"id":49180,"date":"2014-10-23T14:40:02","date_gmt":"2014-10-23T14:40:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=ee745efb2610735c80a9c5d2c109e478"},"modified":"2014-10-23T14:40:02","modified_gmt":"2014-10-23T14:40:02","slug":"news-story-crime-news-maps-showing-professional-court-user-wi-fi-sites","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=49180","title":{"rendered":"News story: Crime news: maps showing professional court user wi-fi sites"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p>Interactive maps allowing providers to identify the nearest courthouses equipped with professional court user wi-fi are now available.<\/p>\n<p>The online Google maps, which also shows which court buildings are next in line to be equipped with the system, have been produced by the Criminal Justice System (CJS) efficiency programme.<\/p>\n<p>Introducing professional court user wi-fi means installing wi-fi in courtrooms, advocates\u2019 rooms, consultation rooms, public areas and custody suites (other than cells).<\/p>\n<p>It is being rolled out, courthouse by courthouse, in Crown and magistrates\u2019 courts around the country between November 2014 and the end of March 2016. There will be 8 delivery phases.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"benefits-of-professional-court-user-wi-fi\">Benefits of professional court user wi-fi<\/h3>\n<p>The benefit for providers is that they can make better use of down-time at court by using wi-fi to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>access Criminal Justice Secure eMail<\/li>\n<li>complete and submit legal aid applications in the courthouse<\/li>\n<li>communicate with their own corporate case management systems<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 id=\"using-the-online-map\">Using the online map<\/h3>\n<p>There are 2 online maps which you can use.
