{"id":49181,"date":"2014-10-23T14:28:00","date_gmt":"2014-10-23T14:28:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=bce94e8f59ac99ed63e873a785b29f57"},"modified":"2014-10-23T14:28:00","modified_gmt":"2014-10-23T14:28:00","slug":"news-story-crime-news-wi-fi-for-crm14-eform-users","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=49181","title":{"rendered":"News story: Crime news: wi-fi for CRM14 eForm users"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p>Special wi-fi networks have been set up at 5 new sites to join a select group of court buildings able to give crime contract holders access to our eForms portal.<\/p>\n<p>The networks work by providing a 4G network in solicitors\u2019 rooms using a mobile wireless router known as MiFi.<\/p>\n<p>The new sites are in North Staffordshire, Leicester, Warley, Coventry and Wolverhampton Magistrates\u2019 Courts.<\/p>\n<p>The idea is to help providers connect to wi-fi on laptops, tablets or mobile phones to submit their CRM14 eForms.<\/p>\n<p>It also means that providers will be able to use Criminal Justice Secure eMail (CJSM) in the solicitors\u2019 rooms of the court buildings benefiting from MiFi.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"mifi-and-the-wider-criminal-justice-system-cjs-efficiency-programme\">MiFi and the wider Criminal Justice System (CJS) efficiency programme<\/h3>\n<p>Using MiFi in this way is an interim solution agreed between ourselves and HMCTS to provide a temporary 4G solution pending the introduction of HMCTS professional court user wi-fi.<\/p>\n<p>This network does not replace the wide-ranging HMCTS professional court user wi-fi developed with the CJS efficiency programme.<\/p>\n<p>HMCTS professional court user wi-fi will replace our interim solution with a comprehensive rollout programme to equip courts with wi-fi.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"where-are-these-networks-available\">Where are these networks available?<\/h3>\n<p>The networks are available in solicitors\u2019 rooms in the following magistrate\u2019s courts. <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Liverpool<\/li>\n<li>Wirral<\/li>\n<li>Runcorn<\/li>\n<li>Chester<\/li>\n<li>Derby<\/li>\n<li>Nottingham<\/li>\n<li>Warley <\/li>\n<li>Coventry<\/li>\n<li>Wolverhampton<\/li>\n<li>Leicester<\/li>\n<li>North Staffordshire <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 id=\"what-do-i-need-to-do-now\">What do I need to do now?<\/h3>\n<p>The network is a private network for crime contract holders only and is only for the submission of the CRM14 eForm and accessing CJSM emails.<\/p>\n<p>Providers will need to email the Crime Change Programme to request passwords for the sites where they wish to make use of the new networks \u2013 see contact details below.<br \/>\nThey will also need to include details of all colleagues in the firm they will share the passwords with.  <\/p>\n<h3 id=\"why-are-you-doing-this\">Why are you doing this?<\/h3>\n<p>In partnership with HMCTS we have listened to feedback from providers who feel that having wi-fi in court buildings will help them to maximise the benefits of the CRM14 eForm. <\/p>\n<h3 id=\"further-information\">Further information<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"mailto:eformscrime@legalaid.gsi.gov.uk\">Email<\/a> \u2013 to request passwords for sites you wish to access<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"external\" href=\"http:\/\/www.eventbrite.co.uk\/o\/crime-change-programme-6754940895?s=26108669\">WebEx online training<\/a> \u2013 to book training on CRM14 eForm<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/publications\/simplifying-criminal-legal-aid-processing\">Criminal legal aid processing: applications and digital systems<\/a> <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/news\/crime-news-contract-signing-launches-installation-of-wi-fi-in-courts?dm_i=4P,2VJFF,2IZCUZ,AF0FA,1\">Contract signing launches installation of wi-fi in courts<\/a> \u2013 news story about CJS efficiency programme<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/news\/crime-news-maps-showing-professional-court-user-wi-fi-sites\">Interactive maps showing professional court user-wi-fi sites<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Interim solution to give providers access to wi-fi in solicitors&#8217;
