{"id":49332,"date":"2014-10-28T10:18:00","date_gmt":"2014-10-28T10:18:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=6248cfa26484b2070bf928120c4b712e"},"modified":"2014-10-28T10:18:00","modified_gmt":"2014-10-28T10:18:00","slug":"news-story-statutory-security-of-supply-report","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=49332","title":{"rendered":"News story: Statutory security of supply report"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p>The Department for Energy and Climate Change has today published the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/publications\/statutory-security-of-supply-report-2014\">annual Statutory Security of Supply Report (SSSR)<\/a> that looks at the UK\u2019s energy security for this winter and up-coming winters. <a rel=\"external\" href=\"http:\/\/www2.nationalgrid.com\/UK\/Industry-information\/Future-of-Energy\/FES\/Winter-Outlook\/\">National Grid has also published their winter outlook report<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>National Grid said Britain will have enough energy to keep the country running in a cold winter. National Grid says the outlook remains manageable and well within the reliability standard set by government. Ofgem\u2019s Rachel Fletcher said \u201cthere is no increased risk of blackouts this winter\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Business and Energy Minister Matthew Hancock said:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have taken action to make sure our energy needs will be met this winter.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have given National Grid new tools they need to meet energy demand this winter and our working through a long term plan to turn around a legacy of underinvestment in our energy sector. This government has made sure homes and businesses across the country will be energy secure.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut there\u2019s more to do to complete our infrastructure plan and further strengthen our energy security.
