{"id":49686,"date":"2014-11-04T11:02:54","date_gmt":"2014-11-04T11:02:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=b065b19881a79fc613f07d665d1c864e"},"modified":"2014-11-04T11:02:54","modified_gmt":"2014-11-04T11:02:54","slug":"press-release-uk-government-welcomes-final-approval-on-wrexham-prison-in-north-wales","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=49686","title":{"rendered":"Press release: UK Government welcomes final approval on Wrexham Prison in north Wales"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p>Responding to the announcement that Wrexham Council has given final approval for the scheme, Wales Office Minister Alun Cairns said:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>North Wales has long needed its own prison and this final approval is very welcome.<\/p>\n<p class=\"last-child\">This development, through its construction, running and maintenance, will bring a huge number of jobs to Wrexham and the surrounding region and give a great economic boost to north Wales\u2019 economy.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Prisons Minister Andrew Selous said:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>I welcome this final approval. Preparatory work has already started on site ahead of schedule and main construction will begin shortly.<\/p>\n<p class=\"last-child\">We remain in no doubt that the prison will be a huge benefit to the region.
