{"id":50108,"date":"2014-11-12T11:47:40","date_gmt":"2014-11-12T11:47:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=8f0e73b26c6b7679ca93514d9048f24b"},"modified":"2014-11-12T11:47:40","modified_gmt":"2014-11-12T11:47:40","slug":"news-story-integrated-survivability-and-platform-systems-opportunities","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=50108","title":{"rendered":"News story: Integrated Survivability and Platform Systems opportunities"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p>Research into Integrated Survivability (<abbr title=\"Integrated Survivability\">IS<\/abbr>) and Platform Systems (<abbr title=\"Platform Systems\">PS<\/abbr>) is the new focus of the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory\u2019s (<abbr title=\"Defence Science and Technology Laboratory\">Dstl<\/abbr>) contracting framework, <abbr title=\"Research Cloud\">R-Cloud<\/abbr> (Research-Cloud).<\/p>\n<p>Following previous calls for suppliers, the <abbr title=\"Research Cloud\">R-Cloud<\/abbr> framework is now moving onto its fourth capability call.<\/p>\n<p><abbr title=\"Defence Science and Technology Laboratory\">Dstl<\/abbr> spends around \u00a315 million on <abbr title=\"Integrated Survivability\">IS<\/abbr> and <abbr title=\"Platform Systems\">PS<\/abbr> research each year. It is now inviting suppliers to join <abbr title=\"Research Cloud\">R-Cloud<\/abbr> to gain access to <abbr title=\"Defence Science and Technology Laboratory\">Dstl<\/abbr>\u2019s latest research requirements in these areas. Further roll out, across <abbr title=\"Defence Science and Technology Laboratory\">Dstl<\/abbr>\u2019s other capability areas, is expected during 2015.<\/p>\n<div class=\"call-to-action\">\n<p>Suppliers working in the areas of Integrated Survivability or Platform Systems can apply to be part of <abbr title=\"Research Cloud\">R-Cloud<\/abbr> via the <a rel=\"external\" href=\"http:\/\/www.contracts.mod.uk\">Defence Contracts Online (<abbr title=\"Defence Contracts Online\">DCO<\/abbr>) pre-qualification portal<\/a> from 12 November until 10 December 2014.  Access is via the <abbr title=\"Defence Contracts Online\">DCO<\/abbr> response manager using the following access codes. Platform Systems: GJ2XQDNZPF, Integrated Survivability: NB6355B687<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>New users will need to create a supplier account within the <abbr title=\"Defence Contracts Online\">DCO<\/abbr> portal in order to access each contracting opportunity and provide the necessary pre-qualification information.<\/p>\n<p>If successful, suppliers will then be considered for future <abbr title=\"Research Cloud\">R-Cloud<\/abbr> <abbr title=\"Integrated Survivability\">IS<\/abbr> or <abbr title=\"Platform Systems\">PS<\/abbr> research contract opportunities with mini-competitions being run where suppliers will be invited to express interest and tender for different tasks.<\/p>\n<p><abbr title=\"Defence Science and Technology Laboratory\">Dstl<\/abbr>\u2019s <abbr title=\"Research Cloud\">R-Cloud<\/abbr> Project Manager, Neil Higson, said: <\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"last-child\"><abbr title=\"Research Cloud\">R-Cloud<\/abbr> is really beginning to establish itself as a marketplace for Science and Technology research. We have successfully completed three calls for suppliers within the technical areas of Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (<abbr title=\"Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear\">CBRN<\/abbr>); Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (<abbr title=\"Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance\">C4ISR<\/abbr>) and Counter Terrorism and Security (<abbr title=\"Counter Terrorism and Security\">CT&amp;S<\/abbr>).
