{"id":50192,"date":"2014-11-13T15:22:10","date_gmt":"2014-11-13T15:22:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=ae40282f4a0a66b5238b161620010caa"},"modified":"2014-11-13T15:22:10","modified_gmt":"2014-11-13T15:22:10","slug":"news-story-dio-provides-new-logistics-facility-in-surrey","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=50192","title":{"rendered":"News story: DIO provides new logistics facility in Surrey"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p>Army recruits will have ready access to the latest equipment and training thanks to a new \u00a37.5 million logistics facility provided by the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (<abbr title=\"Defence Infrastructure Organisation\">DIO<\/abbr>) at Army Training Centre (<abbr title=\"Army Training Centre\">ATC<\/abbr>) Pirbright.<\/p>\n<p>Air Vice Marshal Elaine West officially opened the new facility, which took 15 months to complete.<\/p>\n<p>The new building brings together a range of Quartermaster\u2019s functions which previously had been spread over several buildings. The new building means the training centre will now be able to manage an increase in recruits training at the base.<\/p>\n<p><abbr title=\"Air Vice Marshal\">AVM<\/abbr> West, who is Director of Projects and Programme Delivery at <abbr title=\"Defence Infrastructure Organisation\">DIO<\/abbr>, said:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>I was delighted to be invited to open the <abbr title=\"Quartermaster\">QM<\/abbr> Store at Pirbright and to see the terrific facilities now provided.<\/p>\n<p class=\"last-child\">The collaboration between the <abbr title=\"Defence Infrastructure Organisation\">DIO<\/abbr> Project Team and the <abbr title=\"Quartermasters\">QMs<\/abbr> staff has been outstanding and I was especially pleased to meet the very people who will shortly be working from this brand new building.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Lt Col Keith Armstrong, Staff Quartermaster at Pilbright, said:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"last-child\">The opening of this purpose built integrated facility moves us firmly into the 21st Century.
