{"id":50931,"date":"2014-12-01T09:21:03","date_gmt":"2014-12-01T09:21:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=429c90180b1d1aa78575f2afb000e201"},"modified":"2014-12-01T09:21:03","modified_gmt":"2014-12-01T09:21:03","slug":"statement-to-parliament-transport-infrastructure-road-investment-strategy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=50931","title":{"rendered":"Statement to Parliament: Transport infrastructure: \u2018Road investment strategy\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p>I am pleased to announce to the House the details of the first \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/collections\/road-investment-strategy\">Road investment strategy<\/a>\u2019, an ambitious \u00a315 billion plan to increase the capacity and condition of roads for motorists across England.<\/p>\n<p>The government is investing in over 100 new road schemes over this parliament and next, 84 of which are brand new today.<\/p>\n<p>This major reform will add over 1,300 extra lane miles on motorways and trunk roads and fix some of the most notorious and longstanding problem areas on the strategic road network.
