{"id":51298,"date":"2014-12-08T14:21:45","date_gmt":"2014-12-08T14:21:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=98afc623c89ab8f8a62ec32a315b650d"},"modified":"2014-12-08T14:21:45","modified_gmt":"2014-12-08T14:21:45","slug":"news-story-cma-confirms-insurance-software-merger-referral","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=51298","title":{"rendered":"News story: CMA confirms insurance software merger referral"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p>The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/news\/specialist-insurance-software-merger-may-raise-competition-concerns\">announced last week<\/a> that it would refer the merger for a full investigation unless Xchanging offered acceptable undertakings to address the CMA\u2019s competition concerns. This follows concerns that it may lead to higher prices or a reduction in choice or quality for Lloyd\u2019s registered managing agents or reduce the incentives of suppliers to innovate.<\/p>\n<p>As Xchanging has not offered any undertakings, the CMA will now start an in-depth merger investigation.
