Mr Timothy Morris has been appointed Her Majesty\u2019s Ambassador to the Republic of South Sudan in succession to Mr Ian Hughes, who will be transferring to another Diplomatic Service appointment. Mr Morris will take up his appointment during April 2015.<\/p>\n

Mr Morris joined the FCO in 1981 and has served in London, Tokyo, Lisbon and Madrid, and most recently in Africa as Her Majesty\u2019s Ambassador to Morocco and (non-resident) Mauritania, Sahel Coordinator, Special Envoy to the talks on South Sudan, and Charg\u00e9 d\u2019Affaires ad interim to the Democratic Republic of Congo. <\/p>\n

On his appointment as Her Majesty\u2019s Ambassador to the Republic of South Sudan, Mr Morris has said: <\/p>\n
