{"id":52884,"date":"2015-01-26T08:57:00","date_gmt":"2015-01-26T08:57:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=3c181b3f4a7f307793a08bf9635f77cb"},"modified":"2015-01-26T08:57:00","modified_gmt":"2015-01-26T08:57:00","slug":"press-release-leading-academics-to-discuss-welsh-devolution-with-baroness-randerson","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=52884","title":{"rendered":"Press release: Leading academics to discuss Welsh devolution with Baroness Randerson"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p>She will bring together experts from a number of Welsh universities to share their views on how the UK government can best deliver further devolution for Wales.<\/p>\n<p>The roundtable event will provide the academics with an important opportunity to discuss and comment on the UK government\u2019s Welsh devolution programme.<\/p>\n<p>Baroness Randerson is working with Welsh Secretary Stephen Crabb who is leading the devolution programme.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Crabb has pledged to publish a new cross party framework to create a clear robust and lasting devolution settlement for Wales by St David\u2019s Day this year.<\/p>\n<p>Baroness Randerson said the meeting would also aim to build on the UK government\u2019s strong track record on devolution.<\/p>\n<p>Baroness Randerson said: <\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>It\u2019s important that we hear a wide range of views on how we can deliver constitutional change that works for Wales.<\/p>\n<p>The academics I\u2019m meeting today are some of the best and brightest minds in Wales and have an excellent understanding of Welsh politics, history and society.
