{"id":53336,"date":"2015-02-04T12:03:00","date_gmt":"2015-02-04T12:03:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=bc40276de8f7af15ec8d3129620133be"},"modified":"2015-02-04T12:03:00","modified_gmt":"2015-02-04T12:03:00","slug":"news-story-monitor-closes-investigation-into-liverpool-womens-hospital","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=53336","title":{"rendered":"News story: Monitor closes investigation into Liverpool Women\u2019s Hospital"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p>The health sector regulator launched an investigation in July 2014 after the Care Quality Commission (<abbr title=\"Care Quality Commission\">CQC<\/abbr>) raised concerns about how the trust monitors the quality of its services and manages staffing levels. Monitor wanted to find out if the <abbr title=\"Care Quality Commission\">CQC<\/abbr>\u2019s concerns indicated wider problems in how the trust was run.<\/p>\n<p>Since the investigation was opened, the trust has taken action to address the issues raised and the <abbr title=\"Care Quality Commission\">CQC<\/abbr> has reported improvements.<\/p>\n<p>After reviewing the evidence, Monitor has decided that no further formal regulatory action is needed. <\/p>\n<p>Paul Chandler, Regional Director at Monitor, said: <\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>We are pleased that patients at Liverpool Women\u2019s Hospital are benefitting from recent improvements in how the trust is run.<\/p>\n<p class=\"last-child\">The trust has taken steps to address the concerns raised by the <abbr title=\"Care Quality Commission\">CQC<\/abbr> about staffing and how it monitors the quality of its services, and we are now satisfied that there are not wider problems at the trust.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The regulator will continue to scrutinise the trust as it builds on the progress made and seeks to ensure its long-term financial sustainability.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Liverpool Women\u2019s NHS Foundation Trust has improved how it is managed.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":8,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[13],"tags":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/53336"}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/users\/8"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcomments&post=53336"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/53336\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fmedia&parent=53336"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcategories&post=53336"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Ftags&post=53336"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
