{"id":53609,"date":"2015-02-09T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2015-02-09T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=bc41505459796ae9ee2dbb46bd8529dc"},"modified":"2015-02-09T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2015-02-09T00:00:00","slug":"news-story-online-tax-summaries-available-now","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=53609","title":{"rendered":"News story: Online tax summaries available now"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p>The summaries set out how much tax and National Insurance each person has paid in the tax year, and how it contributed to public expenditure.<\/p>\n<p>The online summaries can be viewed by logging onto <abbr title=\"HM Revenue and Customs\">HMRC<\/abbr> online services and selecting the \u2018View your 2013 to 2014 tax summary\u2019 option.<\/p>\n<p>Millions of taxpayers who are in the <abbr title=\"Pay As You Earn\">PAYE<\/abbr> system and don\u2019t file tax returns have already received paper summaries in the post. Others will receive a paper version in the future, once their 2013 to 2014 tax affairs have been finalised. Online filers who missed the deadline will have access to an online summary once they send their overdue return online.<\/p>\n<p>Financial Secretary to the Treasury, David Gauke, said:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"last-child\">Taxpayers have a right to know how the government is spending their tax and National Insurance contributions. The Government promised to provide transparent information about its expenditure and these summaries deliver on that promise.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Any taxpayer who does not receive a tax summary can use <abbr title=\"HM Revenue and Customs\">HMRC<\/abbr>\u2019s tax calculator to estimate their tax bill and see how it contributes to public spending.
