{"id":53948,"date":"2015-02-16T14:00:27","date_gmt":"2015-02-16T14:00:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=c51218421bea76885328bf6ef46bbb14"},"modified":"2015-02-16T14:00:27","modified_gmt":"2015-02-16T14:00:27","slug":"news-story-cma-accepts-undertakings-from-motor-fuel-limited","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=53948","title":{"rendered":"News story: CMA accepts undertakings from Motor Fuel Limited"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p>The Competition and Markets Authority (<abbr title=\"Competition and Markets Authority\">CMA<\/abbr>) is satisfied that these undertakings remedy the competition concerns it had identified as a result of <abbr title=\"Motor Fuel Limited\">MFL<\/abbr>\u2019s completed acquisition of 228 petrol stations and other assets from <abbr title=\"Murco Petroleum Limited\">Murco<\/abbr> Petroleum Limited (<abbr title=\"Murco Petroleum Limited\">Murco<\/abbr>), which was in relation to the retail supply of road fuels in the Hythe area in Kent. Under the undertakings, <abbr title=\"Motor Fuel Limited\">MFL<\/abbr> agrees to divest one petrol station and related assets, including a grocery outlet, by way of the sale of the freehold property. Before the acquisition, the site to be sold had been owned by <abbr title=\"Murco Petroleum Limited\">Murco<\/abbr>.<\/p>\n<p>As a result of the <abbr title=\"Competition and Markets Authority\">CMA<\/abbr>\u2019s acceptance of these undertakings, the acquisition of the <abbr title=\"Murco Petroleum Limited\">Murco<\/abbr> petrol stations will not now be referred for an in-depth phase 2 investigation.<\/p>\n<p>Before accepting the undertakings, the <abbr title=\"Competition and Markets Authority\">CMA<\/abbr> carefully assessed and consulted publicly on the proposed undertakings.
