{"id":54212,"date":"2015-02-23T14:46:58","date_gmt":"2015-02-23T14:46:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=fba4d87fc7db82b4a14f73fffd0cec73"},"modified":"2015-02-23T14:46:58","modified_gmt":"2015-02-23T14:46:58","slug":"news-story-dstl-call-for-weapons-capability-suppliers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=54212","title":{"rendered":"News story: Dstl call for weapons capability suppliers"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p>R-Cloud, the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory\u2019s (<abbr title=\"Defence Science and Technology Laboratory\">Dstl<\/abbr>) commercial framework, continues its successful roll out with calls for suppliers working within the area of weapons.<\/p>\n<p><abbr title=\"Defence Science and Technology Laboratory\">Dstl<\/abbr>\u2019s annual expenditure on weapons research is approximately \u00a310 million. <abbr title=\"Defence Science and Technology Laboratory\">Dstl<\/abbr> is now inviting weapons research organisations to become a supplier within the R-Cloud framework. <\/p>\n<div class=\"call-to-action\">\n<p>Details on how to apply, as well as gain an insight into likely contracting opportunities, are available through the <a rel=\"external\" href=\"http:\/\/www.contracts.mod.uk\/\">Defence Contracts Online Pre-Qualification portal<\/a> using the access code: 44UYDNPYZQ. The deadline for submissions is 11:00 Wednesday 25 March 2015.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Tasks placed through R-Cloud now extend across the <abbr title=\"Defence Science and Technology Laboratory\">Dstl<\/abbr> technical areas of chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (<abbr title=\"chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear\">CBRN<\/abbr>); counter terrorism and security (<abbr title=\"counter terrorism and security\">CT&amp;S<\/abbr>); command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (<abbr title=\"command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance\">C4ISR<\/abbr>); and integrated survivability and platform systems. <\/p>\n<p><abbr title=\"Defence Science and Technology Laboratory\">Dstl<\/abbr>\u2019s R-Cloud Project Manager, Neil Higson, has been pleased with the interest generated so far: <\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"last-child\">Since our launch last summer, more than 300 individual suppliers have signed up to the R-Cloud framework and we have run 21 mini-competitions.
