{"id":54346,"date":"2015-02-25T16:36:47","date_gmt":"2015-02-25T16:36:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=d00007b2e0cc93892a6afc25c496c1b8"},"modified":"2015-02-25T16:36:47","modified_gmt":"2015-02-25T16:36:47","slug":"news-story-hmrc-confirms-hsbc-suisse-bank-data-can-now-be-shared","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=54346","title":{"rendered":"News story: HMRC confirms HSBC Suisse bank data can now be shared"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p><abbr title=\"HM Revenue and Customs\">HMRC<\/abbr> received the data from the French in April 2010 under very strict international treaty conditions, which limited its use to tax purposes only and prevented <abbr title=\"HM Revenue and Customs\">HMRC<\/abbr> from sharing the data with other law enforcement authorities for investigating other potential offences.<\/p>\n<p><abbr title=\"HM Revenue and Customs\">HMRC<\/abbr> first asked for the conditions to be relaxed in August 2010. Following a number of more recent representations, the French authorities gave written confirmation on 23 February that they were lifting restrictions on the use and sharing of the data with other law enforcement agencies and regulators for the purpose of investigating criminal offences.<\/p>\n<p><abbr title=\"HM Revenue and Customs\">HMRC<\/abbr> has arranged a multi-agency meeting next week, to discuss how the stolen HSBC Suisse data can be shared with them.
