Area visits were held in the West Midlands, Essex, Manchester, Northumbria and Warwickshire. Members of the Committee met with key stakeholders including Police and Crime Commissioners, members of Police and Crime Panels and Chief Constables. A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/publications\/local-policing-leadership-ethics-and-accountability-update-note-on-police-area-visits\">summary<\/a> of the five visits has now been published on the Committee\u2019s website.<\/p>\n<p>Today the Committee has also published a <a rel=\"external\" href=\"https:\/\/cspl.blog.gov.uk\/2015\/02\/27\/the-role-of-police-leaders-in-developing-the-profession\/\">blog post<\/a> by Professor Dame Shirley Pearce, Chair of the College of Policing.
