This has created a pipeline of energy efficiency work for the industry over the coming months, with households in England and Wales benefiting from improvements carried out under the scheme.<\/p>\n<p>An additional \u00a35 million, remaining from release two of <abbr title=\"Green Deal Home Improvement Fund\">GDHIF<\/abbr>, is being made available immediately so householders can continue to apply for funding to make energy saving home improvements. The funding will be allocated as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>up to \u00a31,250 for installing two measures from an approved list; <\/li>\n<li>up to \u00a3100 refunded for a Green Deal Assessment if it recommends the measures applied for;<\/li>\n<li>up to \u00a3500 more if applying within 12 months of buying a new home.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Money for <abbr title=\"Green Deal Home Improvement Fund\">GDHIF<\/abbr> is part of over half a billion pounds allocated for household energy efficiency between 2014 \u2013 2017.<\/p>\n<p>Energy and Climate Change Secretary Ed Davey said:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>The Green Deal Home Improvement Fund is extremely popular, and the third release has proved no exception. Thanks to this scheme some of the country\u2019s leakiest homes will be warmer and cheaper to heat &#8211; permanently.<\/p>\n<p class=\"last-child\">We know the best way to help people use less energy and drive down their bills is to make their homes more energy efficient, and through ECO and Green Deal we\u2019ve improved over one million homes across the country.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Energy and Climate Change Minister Amber Rudd said:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Thousands of families are taking advantage of the Green Deal Home Improvement Fund and reaping the benefits of a warmer home and lower energy bills.<\/p>\n<p class=\"last-child\">It\u2019s no surprise the latest round of funding has been snapped up so quickly but there\u2019s still money available through <abbr title=\"Green Deal Home Improvement Fund\">GDHIF<\/abbr> to help even more people have a warmer home for less.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The approved list of measures for the \u00a35 million remaining from the second release of <abbr title=\"Green Deal Home Improvement Fund\">GDHIF<\/abbr> is as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Cavity wall insulation;<\/li>\n<li>Condensing mains gas boiler;<\/li>\n<li>Secondary glazing;<\/li>\n<li>Double\/triple glazing (replacing single glazing);<\/li>\n<li>Flat roof insulation;<\/li>\n<li>Replacement warm air unit;<\/li>\n<li>Fan-assisted storage heaters;<\/li>\n<li>Energy efficient replacement doors;<\/li>\n<li>Floor insulation;<\/li>\n<li>Room-in-roof insulation;<\/li>\n<li>Waste water heat recovery.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Those interested in applying for the Green Deal Home Improvement Fund should visit <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/green-deal-energy-saving-measures\/get-money-back-from-the-green-deal-home-improvement-fund\">the <abbr title=\"Green Deal Home Improvement Fund\">GDHIF<\/abbr> page on GOV.UK<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Remaining funds are limited and DECC may vary the terms of the scheme (including the incentive rates) or suspend or close the scheme, with immediate effect, without notice and at any time. <\/p>\n<p>A refund towards the cost of a Green Deal Advice Report is subject to a successful voucher application, the installation of the eligible measures through the Green Deal Home Improvement Fund and compliance with the scheme terms and conditions.<\/p>\n<p>Households in England and Wales can get advice on how to reduce their bills and make their homes more energy efficient from the Energy Saving Advice Service (ESAS) on 0300 123 1234 (calls charged at national rates).
