However, it is a highly competitive market and  industry needs to keep developing revolutionary and game-changing technologies. <\/p>\n<p>Businesses developing innovative technologies for the civil aerospace industry can apply for a share of \u00a310 million funding to support collaborative R&amp;D projects and feasibility studies that address industry challenges in areas including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>new manufacturing solutions<\/li>\n<li>novel or advanced materials and processes<\/li>\n<li>technologies that improve vehicle efficiency<\/li>\n<li>novel technologies or processes that reduce cost of owning vehicles<\/li>\n<li>new modelling and simulation techniques<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We are specifically encouraging companies outside the aerospace sector that can bring technical knowledge and expertise to a consortium and work on applications targeted primarily at civil aerospace.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"competition-information\">Competition information<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>small businesses could receive up to 70% of their eligible project costs, medium-sized businesses up to 60% and large businesses up to 50%<\/li>\n<li>we expect total project costs of collaborative R&amp;D projects to be between \u00a3250,000 and \u00a31 million and for projects to last up to 36 months<\/li>\n<li>we expect total project costs of feasibility studies to be up to \u00a3100,000 and for projects to last up to 18 months<\/li>\n<li>the competition opens on 29 June 2015<\/li>\n<li>the deadline for registration is midday on 9 September 2015 for collaborative R&amp;D and midday on 5 November for feasibility studies<\/li>\n<li>a networking event takes place in London on 28 April 2015<\/li>\n<li>a webinar competition briefing takes place on 15 July 2015<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"call-to-action\">\n<p><a rel=\"external\" href=\"https:\/\/interact.innovateuk.org\/\">Find out more about this competition and apply.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Businesses can apply for a share of funding to support new technologies that will keep the UK at the forefront of the aerospace industry.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":8,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[13],"tags":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/55925"}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/users\/8"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcomments&post=55925"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/55925\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fmedia&parent=55925"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcategories&post=55925"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Ftags&post=55925"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
