He will take up post on 1 April 2015.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the same campaign, the following Building Regulations Advisory Committee members have also been re-appointed to the Committee: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Peter Caplehorn &#8211; Deputy Chief Executive of the Construction Products Association <\/li>\n<li>Emma Clancy &#8211; Chief Executive Officer of Certsure LLP and Ascertiva Group<\/li>\n<li>Alan Crane CBE \u2013 Construction Industry Advisor and Consultant &#8211; 3C\u2019s Construction Consulting Services<\/li>\n<li>Cliff Fudge &#8211; Technical Director of H&amp;H UK Ltd <\/li>\n<li>Neil Smith \u2013 Head of Research and Innovation at the National Housebuilding Council<\/li>\n<li>Paul Timmins &#8211; Managing Director of Approved Inspector Services Ltd<\/li>\n<li>Stephen Wielebeski \u2013 Recently Divisional Development Director at Miller Homes Ltd<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>They will continue to bring with them their wealth of experience and expertise in their respective fields.<\/p>\n<p>The Department for Communities and Local Government has also sought to enhance and refresh the expertise of the Committee through this recruitment and has appointed 5 new members:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Antony Burd \u2013 Head of Sector (Construction) British Standards Institution<\/li>\n<li>Gavin Dunn \u2013 Director of BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method), Buildings Research Establishment<\/li>\n<li>Julia Evans &#8211; Chief Executive of the Building Services Research &amp; Information Association<\/li>\n<li>Gary Ferrand \u2013 Assistant Chief Fire Officer at East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service<\/li>\n<li>Rachel Smalley \u2013 President of the Access Association<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 id=\"about-the-building-regulations-advisory-committee\">About the Building Regulations Advisory Committee<\/h2>\n<p>The Building Regulations Advisory Committee is an advisory non-departmental public body that advises the Secretary of State and other ministers on the making of building regulations and related legislation.
