From 1 April <abbr title=\"National School of Government International\">NSGI<\/abbr> will sit within <abbr title=\"Stabilisation Unit\">SU<\/abbr> governance and financial arrangements, but will retain its own identity and branding.<\/p>\n<p>Previously based with the Defence Academy, <abbr title=\"National School of Government International\">NSGI<\/abbr> is a cross-cutting civil service unit supported and governed by the Department for International Development, Ministry of Defence, Foreign and Commonwealth Office and the Cabinet Office. Similar to <abbr title=\"Stabilisation Unit\">SU<\/abbr>, its purpose is to support the UK government\u2019s international priorities on building stability overseas and engagement in fragile states.<\/p>\n<p><abbr title=\"National School of Government International\">NSGI<\/abbr> provides advisory support, mainly at the centre of government at ministry level.
