title=\"Rail, Maritime and Transport\">RMT<\/abbr> union<\/h2>\n<p>The following information is intended to help passengers prepare for potential rail disruption.<\/p>\n<p>If the strike goes ahead rail passengers will be affected on: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Thursday 4 June until Friday 5 June 2015 and<\/li>\n<li>Tuesday 9 June until Thursday 11 June 2015<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Rail passengers may also be affected by the union\u2019s decision not to work any overtime between midnight Friday 5 June and midnight Friday 12 June 2015.<\/p>\n<p>Passengers can get the latest travel information from <a rel=\"external\" href=\"http:\/\/www.nationalrail.co.uk\/service_disruptions\/today.aspx\">National Rail Enquiries<\/a> this information may be subject to change as a result of the strike.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"travel-information\">Travel information<\/h2>\n<p>Rail passengers and people travelling by road are urged to check if they will still be able to travel in the event that a national rail strike strike<\/h2>\n<p>Members of the Rail, Maritime and Transport (<abbr title=\"Rail, Maritime and Transport\">RMT<\/abbr>) trade union working for Network Rail have announced that they are planning to take industrial action. <\/p>\n<p>If the industrial action does go ahead it is likely to cause severe disruption to rail services. The impact will vary considerably by route. Rail passengers are strongly urged to check for the <a rel=\"external\" href=\"http:\/\/www.nationalrail.co.uk\/service_disruptions\/99244.aspx\">latest information on how the strike might affect their train journeys<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Disruption to rail services is likely to have a knock-on impact on the road network.
