The UK views will then be sent to the Australian secretariat of <a rel=\"external\" href=\"http:\/\/www.oiml.org\/en\/technical-work\/tc-sc\/scinfo_view?idsc=11&amp;sclabel=Dimensional%20measuring%20instruments&amp;idtc=7&amp;tcnum=7&amp;tclabel=Measuring%20instruments%20for%20length%20and%20associated%20quantities&amp;scnum=5\"><abbr title=\"International Organization of Legal Metrology\">OIML<\/abbr> TC7\/SC5.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The <abbr title=\"National Measurement and Regulation Office\">NMRO<\/abbr> is the UK participating member of <abbr title=\"dimensional measuring instruments\">R129<\/abbr> and is responsible for collecting the UK views on proposed amendments to the technical working document for dimensional measuring instruments.<\/p>\n<p>The changes to the draft are as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>layout of the document updated in line with the draft general requirements for measuring instruments &#8211;<br \/>\nenvironmental conditions <a rel=\"external\" href=\"http:\/\/www.oiml.org\/en\/files\/pdf_d\/d011-e13.pdf\">(<abbr title=\"general requirements for measuring instruments - environmental conditions\">OIML D11<\/abbr>)<\/a> (2013)<\/li>\n<li>surge tests added to the document consistent with draft <abbr title=\"general requirements for measuring instruments - environmental conditions\">OIML D11<\/abbr> (2013)<\/li>\n<li>the minimum dimension amended to 10d from 5d<\/li>\n<li>test procedures revised to be consistent with draft <abbr title=\"general requirements for measuring instruments - environmental conditions\">OIML D11<\/abbr> (2013) document<\/li>\n<li>uncertainty associated with error in the indication of measurement &#8211;
