{"id":57982,"date":"2015-06-16T10:00:52","date_gmt":"2015-06-16T10:00:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=f5d5cf6a90f1430c89fcacf104fe6f78"},"modified":"2015-06-16T10:00:52","modified_gmt":"2015-06-16T10:00:52","slug":"news-story-cma-accepts-sale-of-media-solutions-businesses","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=57982","title":{"rendered":"News story: CMA accepts sale of media solutions businesses"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p>On 14 April, the Competition and Markets Authority (<abbr title=\"Competition and Markets Authority\">CMA<\/abbr>) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/news\/cma-to-look-in-detail-at-proposed-undertakings-for-media-databases-merger\">announced it would consider in detail<\/a> an undertaking proposed by GTCR Canyon UK Investments Ltd (GTCR) instead of referring the case for an in-depth phase 2 merger investigation.<\/p>\n<p>GTCR has offered to sell its <abbr title=\"Cision UK Limited\">Cision<\/abbr> UK Limited (<abbr title=\"Cision UK Limited\">Cision<\/abbr>) and <abbr title=\"Vocus UK Limited\">Vocus<\/abbr> UK Limited (<abbr title=\"Vocus UK Limited\">Vocus<\/abbr>) businesses to AIMediadata Limited (a subsidiary of Access Intelligence plc) to remedy the competition concerns identified by the <abbr title=\"Competition and Markets Authority\">CMA<\/abbr> during its phase 1 investigation. As a result of the <abbr title=\"Competition and Markets Authority\">CMA<\/abbr>\u2019s acceptance of these undertakings, GTCR\u2019s purchase will not be referred for an in-depth phase 2 investigation.<\/p>\n<p>Before accepting the undertakings, the <abbr title=\"Competition and Markets Authority\">CMA<\/abbr> carefully assessed and consulted publicly on the proposed undertakings, including on the suitability of Access Intelligence plc as a proposed purchaser. No concerns were raised during the consultation.
