{"id":57986,"date":"2015-06-16T12:58:41","date_gmt":"2015-06-16T12:58:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=0bd0c27f1c6ce244cbb93c85f5cb96a6"},"modified":"2015-06-16T12:58:41","modified_gmt":"2015-06-16T12:58:41","slug":"press-release-nicky-morgan-hails-inspection-figures-as-cause-for-celebration","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=57986","title":{"rendered":"Press release: Nicky Morgan hails inspection figures as &#8217;cause for celebration&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p>Today (16 June 2015) <abbr title=\"Office for Standards in Education, Children's Services and Skills\">Ofsted<\/abbr> published <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/statistics\/maintained-schools-and-academies-inspections-and-outcomes-january-2015-to-march-2015\">data on the latest inspection results for schools in England<\/a>, which reveal the proportion of schools rated good or outstanding is at its highest level on record.<\/p>\n<p>As of March this year, the figures show:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>82% of schools are rated good or outstanding, up 1 percentage point since August last year<\/li>\n<li>the proportion of good or outstanding schools has risen by 1 percentage point for primary schools, and 2 percentage points for secondary schools since August last year<\/li>\n<li>more than 1 million more pupils are in good or outstanding schools than in 2010<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Education Secretary Nicky Morgan hailed the figures, saying:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>This report shows there are record numbers of children in good or outstanding schools, with the proportion of schools reaching this benchmark rising to 82% &#8211; the highest level on record.<\/p>\n<p>This equates to more than 1 million more pupils in good or outstanding schools than when we began our reforms in 2010, a testament to the hard work of teachers, headteachers and governors across the country.<\/p>\n<p class=\"last-child\">At the heart of our commitment to social justice is our belief that every child deserves the opportunity to attend a good local school.
