{"id":57991,"date":"2015-06-16T13:30:06","date_gmt":"2015-06-16T13:30:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=bf02aeff1ac285a9844c2da07edb943d"},"modified":"2015-06-16T13:30:06","modified_gmt":"2015-06-16T13:30:06","slug":"press-release-interim-manager-appointed-to-revelation-foundation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=57991","title":{"rendered":"Press release: Interim Manager appointed to Revelation Foundation"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p>The Charity Commission has appointed an Interim Manager to the charity Revelation Foundation <a rel=\"external\" href=\"http:\/\/apps.charitycommission.gov.uk\/Showcharity\/RegisterOfCharities\/CharityWithPartB.aspx?RegisteredCharityNumber=1100573&amp;SubsidiaryNumber=0\">(registered charity number 1100573)<\/a>(\u2018the charity\u2019).<\/p>\n<p>On 11 June 2015 the Charity Commission, the charity regulator, used its powers under the Charities Act 2011 (\u2018the Act\u2019) to appoint Brian Johnson of HW Fisher &amp; Company as Interim Manager of the charity. This appointment is a temporary and protective measure and is not to the exclusion of the charity\u2019s trustees. This means that the Interim Manager will work alongside the trustees, who remain in place and continue to have the full powers, legal duties and responsibilities of trustees. <\/p>\n<p>An inquiry was opened into the charity in September 2014. For further information about this, please see our public statement on the opening of the inquiry on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/news\/new-charity-investigation-revelation-foundation\">GOV.UK<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Interim Manager is tasked with conducting a review and reporting to the commission with recommendations on the ongoing governance of the charity. This includes, but is not limited to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the charity\u2019s internal financial controls and policies<\/li>\n<li>the charity\u2019s current model of operation, which involves using a Spanish entity to produce and broadcast television programmes<\/li>\n<li>the charity\u2019s finances and accounts, including identifying the charity\u2019s assets and producing a revised asset register<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The review will also examine the charity\u2019s relationships with a number of entities and will report on the policies and contractual arrangements that are\/should be in place with them. <\/p>\n<p>It is the commission\u2019s policy, after it has concluded an inquiry, to publish a report detailing what issues the inquiry looked at, what actions were undertaken as part of the inquiry and what the outcomes were.
