{"id":58130,"date":"2015-06-18T16:19:26","date_gmt":"2015-06-18T16:19:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=b3c68ec885ccaef3cdb120b7a81c063b"},"modified":"2015-06-18T16:19:26","modified_gmt":"2015-06-18T16:19:26","slug":"news-story-health-needs-of-older-people-apply-for-business-funding","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=58130","title":{"rendered":"News story: Health needs of older people: apply for business funding"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p>Businesses and other organisations can apply for a share of \u00a31 million funding from <a rel=\"external\" href=\"http:\/\/www.england.nhs.uk\/\">NHS England<\/a> to develop ideas that can address challenges facing older people with multiple long-term conditions.<\/p>\n<p>The need for innovation is in the problem areas of:<\/p>\n<p>*falls<br \/>\n*incontinence<br \/>\n*decline in functional ability<\/p>\n<p>Each contract could benefit from \u00a3100,000 phase 1 product development funding through <a rel=\"external\" href=\"http:\/\/www.sbrihealthcare.co.uk\/\"><abbr title=\"Small Business Research Initiative\">SBRI<\/abbr> Healthcare<\/a>. This competition is open to single companies or organisations from the private, public and third sectors, including charities.<\/p>\n<p>Companies successful in the six month feasibility stage (phase 1) will be eligible to move on to more detailed product development and NHS validation.
