{"id":58177,"date":"2015-06-19T15:39:04","date_gmt":"2015-06-19T15:39:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=90747f3a99be1631e856c440f4c4b6a8"},"modified":"2015-06-19T15:39:04","modified_gmt":"2015-06-19T15:39:04","slug":"press-release-secretary-of-state-for-wales-hails-airbuss-paris-air-show-order-haul","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=58177","title":{"rendered":"Press release: Secretary of State for Wales hails Airbus\u2019s Paris Air Show order haul"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p>Secretary of State for Wales Stephen Crabb has today hailed Airbus\u2019s haul of aircraft orders and commitments at the Paris Air Show as testament to the talent and innovative capabilities of the Welsh aviation industry.<\/p>\n<p>The company achieved 124 firm orders and 297 commitments for aircraft at the air show, totalling \u00a336 billion pounds.<\/p>\n<p>The news came in the week that UKTI figures revealed that Wales recorded 101 foreign direct investment projects last year, breaking the previous record of 79 achieved in 2013-14.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"secretary-of-state-for-wales-stephen-crabb-said\">Secretary of State for Wales Stephen Crabb said:<\/h3>\n<blockquote>\n<p>The continued investment from airlines all over the world is a credit to the skills of Airbus\u2019s British workforce, and the confidence they have in our manufacturing expertise.<\/p>\n<p>Everyone who travels on an Airbus aircraft anywhere in the world is flying on wings manufactured at its Broughton site in north Wales.<\/p>\n<p class=\"last-child\">The aerospace industry is the jewel in the crown of the North Wales economy and Airbus is a prime example of the positive impact foreign investment can have.
