Cancer screening content will be added over the next few months.<\/p>\n<p>The content, which moved from the old UK screening portal and NHS screening programme websites, includes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/groups\/uk-national-screening-committee-uk-nsc\">the role and function of the <abbr title=\"UK National Screening Committee\">UK NSC<\/abbr><\/a>, the independent advisory body that makes recommendations to the 4 UK governments on population screening<\/li>\n<li>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/topic\/population-screening-programmes\/screening-quality-assurance\">general information about population screening and quality assurance<\/a> that is relevant to all the programmes<\/li>\n<li>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/topic\/population-screening-programmes\">specific information about each of the screening programmes<\/a>, including standards, data collection and operational information<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For more information read the article about these changes on the new <a rel=\"external\" href=\"https:\/\/phescreening.blog.gov.uk\/2015\/06\/24\/introducing-gov-uk-for-screening\/\"><abbr title=\"Public Health England\">PHE<\/abbr> Screening blog<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Dr Anne Mackie, Director of the new <abbr title=\"Public Health England\">PHE<\/abbr> screening division, (pictured) said:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Over the last few years GOV.UK has become the trusted home of information on all government services and I\u2019m delighted that our screening content is now accessible alongside the other content already available from Public Health England. Everyone who is involved in commissioning or delivering our world class screening programmes now has a single destination for high quality information on screening.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ve worked hard over the last 2 years to really listen to what our users said they liked \u2013 and didn\u2019t like \u2013 about our old websites and have developed new content that they should find more useful than ever before.
