{"id":58930,"date":"2015-07-09T13:00:31","date_gmt":"2015-07-09T13:00:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?guid=82618a4fa085bcc7fbd633eba48c6293"},"modified":"2015-07-09T13:00:31","modified_gmt":"2015-07-09T13:00:31","slug":"news-story-cma-confirms-investigation-of-galvanising-merger","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mostafa.openonline.co.uk\/?p=58930","title":{"rendered":"News story: CMA confirms investigation of galvanising merger"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"govspeak\">\n<p>On 25 June 2015, the Competition and Markets Authority (<abbr title=\"Competition and Markets Authority\">CMA<\/abbr>) said that it would <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/news\/galvanising-merger-in-west-midlands-faces-in-depth-investigation-unless-undertakings-offered\">refer the merger for a full investigation<\/a>, unless the parties offered acceptable undertakings to address the <abbr title=\"Competition and Markets Authority\">CMA<\/abbr>\u2019s competition concerns regarding the supply of galvanising services in the West Midlands region.<\/p>\n<p><abbr title=\"Joseph Ash Limited\">Joseph Ash<\/abbr> Limited (<abbr title=\"Joseph Ash Limited\">Joseph Ash<\/abbr>) has offered undertakings intended to address the concerns identified. After careful consideration, the <abbr title=\"Competition and Markets Authority\">CMA<\/abbr> was not confident that these would achieve as comprehensive a solution as is reasonable and practicable to the substantial lessening of competition and any adverse effects resulting from it.
