In addition, they have published a consultation for the coming <a rel=\"external\" href=\"http:\/\/media.nationalgrid.com\/press-releases\/uk-press-releases\/corporate-news\/winter-review-consultation-2015\/\">winter 2015\/16<\/a>, to gather market intelligence.<\/p>\n<p>National Grid also released their annual <a rel=\"external\" href=\"http:\/\/media.nationalgrid.com\/\">Future Energy Scenarios report<\/a> today, examining the long-term challenges for the UK\u2019s energy security.<\/p>\n<p>The winter outlook report shows that the plan put in place by government, National Grid and Ofgem last winter ensured the UK\u2019s energy market was resilient and able to meet demand. <\/p>\n<p>The 2014\/15 report sets out that demand peaked at 53.2GW last winter (less than Britain\u2019s 77.6GW total generating capacity).
