Nine of the most exciting British space companies are off to the United States on a trade mission organised by Innovate UK and UK Trade & Investment<\/a> (UKTI).<\/p>\n

They range from a startup that brings fresh, high-quality earth observation<\/a> to the consumer market \u2013 think real-time \u2018selfies\u2019 from space \u2013 to a Scottish company making miniature satellites<\/a> for the mass market. <\/p>\n

Space Mission 2015 – Lift off!<\/a><\/p>\n

Another offers off-the-shelf satellite software<\/a> that can be customised for individual missions while a Southampton company is at the cutting edge of space electric propulsion<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Jo Johnson, Minister for Universities and Science said:<\/p>\n

8-14 August<\/h4>\n

The Space Mission 2015<\/a> (8-14 August) first takes in the Small Satellite Conference<\/a> in Utah, hosted by NASA\u2019s Jet Propulsion Laboratory. <\/p>\n

The companies then move on to California to meet teams from NASA<\/a>, Virgin Galactic<\/a> and Lockheed Martin<\/a> along with other industry-leading organisations and investors.<\/p>\n
