It also describes activities of relevance to higher income countries where <abbr title=\"Public Health England\">PHE<\/abbr> may assist on issues of global health security.<\/p>\n<p>Dr Mark Salter at <abbr title=\"Public Health England\">PHE<\/abbr> said:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>We provide a wide range of international public health assistance drawing expertise from across the whole organisation. The capability statement pulls together this knowledge and experience into one easily accessible document.<\/p>\n<p class=\"last-child\">Our International work is managed through short and longer term secondments, rapid deployments, delivery of technical advice, international visits, training and development placements, workshops and research partnerships. In many cases ongoing long-term collaboration, including distance mentoring combined with targeted visits has proved very effective.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><abbr title=\"Public Health England\">PHE<\/abbr> has developed strong collaborations with a number of key partners nationally and internationally. Relationships with multinational partners, bilateral partners, NGOs, UK government departments, UN agencies and universities are key to the success of <abbr title=\"Public Health England\">PHE<\/abbr>\u2019s global programmes.
